I like the vignette.. at first I thought it was just shaded grass. I like how it seems to balance with the trees and makes the dog stand out more.

What I don't like is the dog's stance. It's too straight into the camera and centered, ie too much centering. Which makes it look similar to a posed human snapshot - not much thought put into it. This is a striking dog, so play up to that strength. Closer up while he looks off somewhere, more dramatic, to match the mood of the lighting. Or back off to include the dog's body to show its strong body.You have a nice environment and dramatic lighting with a cool looking dog, so I think you can do more with this. Re shoot if possible or maybe there's other shots you haven't considered.

Just my opinion of course.

Yeah, what she said. In fact, that's why the vignette works so well here, because the way you did it, it doesn't look like a vignette - it just looks natural. Really anchors the image nicely when the bottom edge can be dark like that.
