You might have considered either getting a little higher or adjusting your vantage point in some way to alter the background. For me, I find my eyes are drawn to the extreme contrast of the tree limbs in the BG. They sort of cut behind your subjects heads and I can't help but have my eye move off of the subjects and into the BG when I look at their faces. Great light and exposure
