The day I picked up my 5DSR, I went straight to a wedding dress store, and then a suit store, to see if there would be a moire issue - definitely never saw it with wedding dresses. A few pictures from that day.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

You've posted about this before haven't you?

It is a complete non-issue to brides anyway.

I remember posting a wedding dress picture from that day, but I had a bunch more. I know I posted a bunch of men's suits where I thought there was a much bigger potential issue. Just organizing older photos and thought wedding photogs might like to see a few 5DSR photos of dresses if there cared to download and see high detail pictures. Moire is definitely a non issue.

Interesting. I'd guess it to be as much if not more a problem on mens suits and shirts.

Of all the suit pictures I took, this was the only one where something was happening. That said, this suit was way up in the air, near the roof, with some crazy light very close to it.

Interestingly a lot of the local camera stores over here are having some very disgruntled 5DSR owners. Lots of buyer's remorse from many of those who shelled out on them.

I would guess it'd be the dynamic range. Or the lack of better weather sealing. Curious what Peter says though

If you are a high through put shooter that constantly chimps to check exposure then the 5DSR is frustrating - that is my guess.

How does the dynamic range compare to the 5D3?

What is different when chimping on this camera, compared with others?

Post is really... "I own a 5DSR"... most of the OP's threads are basically... "I own this or that" when you look at them.

As before the 5DSR's capabilities with wedding dresses really is a moot point. There are simply no differences perceived by couples to make it any sort of a factor.

5DSR = 12.4 Stops
5D3 = 11.7 Stops
