GH4 - firmware 2.5 upgrade, does it reset settings?

Going on vaction right now, so really don't want to have everything reset.
I have far too many systems to rember all the settings *8^(

Does a firmware update reset settings?

Is there a way to save the settings to file, and then reloaded?
I don't know why all the makers don't have this capability.

5DMkII, 40D w/ grip, lenses, flashes, more stuff.
