I know we have a lot of eagle lovers on the forum, so I thought this story might be of interest. In the past month, 18 eagles have been found dead on the Eastern Shore from suspected poisoning. Others have been found in farm fields in various states of dying and disorientation. A substantial reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. I've been following it for a few weeks, and it's a very painful story to read. On a positive note, two of the eagles that were rescued were treated and able to be released.
