Not a lot of mFT fan's here at POTN
but for those of us who are I think the 100-400 in mFT mount
offers a huge amount in such a very small package.
Weather sealing is a big plus. As other reported the zoom ring
is a bit tight....surely will loosen over time, but overall construction
is primo.
For a large version of this pic head to FM where they dont have the size
restrictions we do here at POTN-

The Leica 100-400mm is no macro lens but it sure does work hard pretending to do the work of one.
The EOS 100-400ii is also known for wonderful close focus approaching macro level performance.
These two lenses look like obvious competitors with same focal length, close to same price, both having
avant garde names but each has a strong and weak point when compared against each other and that
is size and weight. Even the aperture range is close, one winning close the other winning far. I think
a more apt comparison would be with the Tamron or Sigma 150-600 because either of those two on
a crop body yield an effective 900mm which is the only thing close to the effective 800mm of the Leica
100-400.
Anyway, this shot from approx 6 feet, hand-held-

This is the type of lens that the m4/3 crowd has needed for those bodies to start being adopted by the wildlife communities. Looking to be a strong contender and I would hope to start seeing longer lenses for those systems now.
