I often look at the forum on my iPhone. After I am finished and move on, I am always logged out. When I open it again I have to log back on. Of course I have selected to stay logged on for a month. The cookies are enabled in my phone. Any ideas?

You sure that Safari on your iPhone doesn't drop the connection when you leave the site, or the phone runs out of memory and has to close/suspend the application?

No, I'm not sure. But I'm not sure how to check or fix for that.

Try connecting (with the phone charging), then just leave it for a while without doing anything (maybe let it go to sleep). See if you're still logged in. Then do the same thing, but open another web page; see if you're still there. Then open a lightweight application after you've connected (something like a flashlight app, maybe). If you're still on, then try a more intensive, but local, app, and finally an on-line app.

Login status is kept by one cookie (see "The login cookie" in https://photography-on-the.net/forum/privacypolicy.php ), so if a login is dropped after you close the browser and open it again, then the browser must delete cookies by itself. There is possibly be a setting that does that ("clear history" on exit?). I use an iPhone 6+ and it keeps POTN login fine. I have not touched Safari settings on tha phone so the default setup should work.

Maybe you have some app that does the cookie delete, like a security suite or cookie manager?

EDIT: iOS9 "Clear History" command clears now all cookies, not just page history as in earlier iOS versions.

I think I figured out what to do. I had originally made a shortcut of the forum and placed it on the home screen. Every time I open with that shortcut, I have to log in. But when I open Safari and swipe to the potn window, it's still logged in

Thanks
Stefan
