The article has nothing to do with image quality or sensors.

Lol. I love all this troll hate for the Song a7 lineup. I really don't get why everyone feels so much hate for their system. This is the most straw man cherry picked article on the topic that I've seen in a while.

Why do people feel they need to convince anyone one way or the other? Just shoot what works for you... why is that such a hard concept to understand?

People can't just take photos.... they think way too much. heck just improve your technique. I have a friend who opened my eyes one day. He said, rely on techniques not on gears. Gears help but even if you have the best and perfect camera/lens, without technique, you're nothing.

For the same reason people who drive Chevy can't understand how other people can drive a Ford.:lol:

Just so you know, I own and like both Canon & Sony systems.
Found the article interesting.
Information is good, your defensive replies are surprising.
Sorry.

Information is good only if the information is good...if you know what I mean. Just because it written on the net does not mean it's of any value. I read the article and from what I see...it's just someone spuing off just to be heard. Very little if any actual factual information...lots of hot air.

hardly any size difference!

except, if you've actually shot a 1Dx or 5D3, you know that the top down view doesnt tell the whole story. if you use the same view, the 1dx is only slightly larger, but IRL, its a substantial camera.

So many people getting butt hurt over a random article on the Internet.

So many time we (I say we because I'm guilty of it too) seem like we have to defend our choice of gear from someone else's opinion. In reality it's just someone's opinion so who the hell actually cares? Spend money where you want and let others spend money where they want.

Defensive replies? Are you joking? The article is obviously garbage, if it had truly valid points it'd be one thing, but it simply doesn't. Each category that he "disproves" is "disproved" by looking at the subject from one angle, he's not telling anywhere near the whole story.

This.

I'm not even a big fan of Sony, I've actually toyed with the idea of going fully with Fuji. But to say that there are no advantages to a FF MILC system is so blatantly false it's not even funny.

It's not that the replies are blindly defensive, it's that the original article is something written by a biased fanboy in an attempt to discredit the momentum of the Sony A7 cameras. The article is crap. Period. I shoot an A7RII and a 1Dx. I think the IBIS of the A7RII is great. I think the A7RII with the 35art is a great, compact walk-about set-up. I think that the A7RII handles Canon glass quite well with my Metabones adapters, giving me images with more detail and clarity than I ever got from my old 5DII. Finally, I don't know anyone who has died from using or being shot with a Sony mirrorless camera. The A7 line certainly hasn't "killed" Sony. ;)

Here is an interesting rebuttal article: http://petapixel.com …s-pro-mirrorless-cameras/ (external link)

I think it covers some good points.

It's an opinion piece...doesn't bother or affect me. :)

I'm happy with my Sony thanks :-)

Sato knows it would be a click-bait article , hence the article was lifted in its entirely from fujix-forum.com and reposted on Petapixel. The author of the article apparently has an agenda to push. He hasn't come back to the original thread to defend his position ever since other Fuji shooters called him out.

I shoot with both a Sony A7R II and a Canon 5D MKIII, and I enjoy both systems. Don't be fanboy...or girl, be brand agnostic instead.
