First round of a new series is a little bit wait and watch. The grid may have been small but considering the amount of time there was to create the series and organise the first race - it was nothing less than a spectacular effort by Britcar.
The Ginetta G57 may have dominated the result, but the Radicals were pushing them all the way and the Riley was in the mix too. Next round is at Donington Park on the 16th July.
1. Start of Race 2
2. Mike Smith and James Hanson - Radical RXC Spyder - I'm told they had to de-tune it to make the BHP limit and as a consequence the engine map was all over the place. Sadly the de-tuming of the Radical lead to an early retirement. Round 2 is going to be interesting, when this is on song (I seem to prefer it in B&W for some reason)
3. Paul Spencer in the Radical SR8 - very, very quick car
4. Craig Dolby in the Riley
5. The pesky Chevy powered Ginetta G57 - sounds great.
6. Compulsory Pitstop for the Ginetta in the hour long race
