I've always been fascinated seeing everyone's astronomy photos on here. I went to Brian Head, Utah last week for a vacation and attempted to capture the stars up there. I didn't realize how difficult it is to manual focus in the dark!

I took a bunch of photos but after looking at them on the computer, i basically ended up with three photos that were okay. LOL

I also tried locating the Milky Way, but with no luck. I tried using an app on my phone, but i think i was taking pictures too early in the evening. I think it was only like 11pm. Anyways, do you guys have any pointers on how to shoot the stars? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
JB

Nice captures , #3 is best for me since you have minimum LP in that image and more stars .

I think they're super.
I've only seriously tried this once but The sky is just too washed out in our area.
