I can't believe that my second lexar card reader went kaput!!! So can anyone recommend me a good card reader other than Lexar? Preferably one that can read SD and CF, maybe future proof a bit with those new fangled XQD cards

Preferably one that can read SD and CF, maybe future proof a bit with those new fangled XQD cards I have one of the Lexar "professional" card readers. Ironic, I know.... but I've had 4 other ones fail and this one has been going strong for 2 years now. It might just be the luck of the draw....... Archibald You must be quackers! More info | Apr 09, 2016 20:56 | #8 I have an old Transcend SD card reader which has always worked. I dropped it once shattering the case, but I snapped it back together and put some elastics around it. It still works fine. I also have two SD/CF readers, a Kingston and a Sandisk, never a problem. The argument is whether it's best to tax the card slot as opposed to the USB port. Which will wear easier/faster. Myself, I only us the USB port for plugging in my Camranger. Would you like to buy a vowel?
