With IS off it is extremely silent, however when you switch IS on it makes a slight buzzing noise after it locks focus.

Apr 07, 2016 16:31 | #3 I just checked on another fourm and apparantly this is normal according to other 16-35 owners. I just found it a bit concerning as this is my only IS lens that makes that noise. I was worried it might be deffective.
