My 5D3 has almost 500k shutter clicks and it is still going strong. Just keep shooting

Hi guys, I promised an update. So my girl threw an error 20 a few days ago and hasn't worked since. Last time I checked the shutter count on magic lantern was a month ago and she was just over 1 million actuations. I'm not even sure I will repair it, I rather keep it all original and put it up on my camera wall of fame, or I might contact Canon and see if they have any interest in it.

Also, is there a way to pull the final mileage from the camera without sending it to service?

So if you are curious on Canon camera build quality, my 6D shot over 1 MILLION actuations before needing it's first service.

the program description says, "EOS camera shutter counter displaying on camera connection (Digic III and latter)."

Thanks, I will try those solutions. Right now it starts up only with a freshly charged battery, but it throws up an error at boot and goes unresponsive. Hopefully one of them works.

Kinda brings home the point that, in fact, '(additional) digital shots are free' is ultimately a mistaken concept.

With 1 million shots on a 6d the marginal costs (external link) are quite reasonable though
