the "heat" is natural, it's exhaust fumes & heat from the tracks surface...my post work consists of correcting white balance if need be & adding some contrast & saturation

I think its position and proximity that are my enemies here - not close enough and I'm normally shooting from side or front 3/4. Rarely an I somewhere that I can get straight on and be close enough. I tend to shoot from my seats (1/2 way up turn 15 corner grandstand) or wandering around the east side between turns 3 and 9. SteveH

yes, i rented the sigma 150-600 sport for the weekend...it performed quite well with very few issues, if any at all that i can remember...focusing seemed snappy, images are sharp, etc...i think the zoom resistance is a but tight, but im sure that gets better after using it
