ok,,this is the second time the zoom lock switch has stuck on me,,,stuck as in I just can not budge it from its macro lock position. Have others had problems with this,,,and or found a solution ? just asking before I send it into canon,,,of course off of warranty now,,,but my CC might cover it. Any suggestions?

Did you send it in the last time this happened? If so I would be asking Canon to cover it, as they obviously didn't get fixing it right first time. Although I would still be asking nicely, at least at first.

ok,,i didn,t send it in,,,,,I read the little book that came with it,,,,,just in case,,,and yes there is a process to follow to engage and disengage. Its very picky,,and a dumb design. So it s working again. Yor have to hold the switch,,as you turn the zoom .
