Hello from NYC,

I just bought a used Fuji XT10 from BnH on Saturday. The camera when started in store asked me for language selection and date & time. Until then, it was fine. But since then, the camera asks me this every single time I switch it on. It's been a disappointment for me considering it is purchased used from BnH and I love the camera. I think it is an internal battery issue, where the camera is unable to store/access the memory. Also, some online reading suggests that few X-Pro2 also has such issues.

What options do I have now?

1. Go to BnH and request them to sort this out.
2. Connect with Fuji and then request them to fix this. Possibly pay for the fix.

If anyone has faced a similar issue, please let me know how you handled it.
Got limited days in NYC. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Gautam

No replies at all. -?-?

I returned the camera to BnH yesterday. They could not figure out the problem right away. I so hoped they did and I got the camera back as I was loving it. They don't have any more XT10 body only for sale. I really don't want one with the 16-50 kit. I'll rather hunt for another used body now.

My XT-10 doesn't do this and it does sound like an internal battery problem. You did the right thing to take it back. That would be a really irritating fault and I guess your own preferred settings set up are also stored in the same memory.

Yeah. Was really irritating. Ended up with few only JPEG shots of NYC as against RAWs, which I intended to capture.
Nonetheless, I got a good deal on eBay during my stay in NYC. That XT10 is serving me well. Loving the camera as of now.
