40D spring on CF slot door gone

Can this be replaced without removing the door, which i believe is a major job thank you;-)a

I think a call to your local camera repair shop is probably your best way forward. They'll know what can and can't be done economically.

That would be my local one yes but I use AJ Johnstones in Glasgow for my repairs.

Is there a spring on the 40d door? I don't remember that camera having a spring loaded door. That feature arrived on later models.

My 40D does not have a spring and as far as i know never has.


I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.
