I'm so tired of this tilt on the laptop. I just got sample prints back, I used seamless paper and I can see the terrible blending and brushing in the prints. Not like that on photoshop or Lightroom. I have a calibration device so it's not a color issue. It's the laptop tilting.

I need an external monitor that I can connect to my laptop. What should I be looking for as far as specs? Looking on Amazon I see a lot of LED, is that good or bad? I don't need anything that's 4K quality, just need something that will do the job and I can travel with to clients.

I have a 27 inch Samsung monitor and you can get the newer model on Amazon for under $300. I have a 4K laptop, but I wasn't so picky with the external monitor. I love the set up, though. When I edit photos, I do use both monitors at different times. Good luck finding something that works for you.

First thing to look at is which ports do you have on the laptop? If the port only supports 1080p or lower that is worth considering in your purchase. It is not simple to upgrade the ports on a laptop and you may be unable to use the full resolution of some monitors until you upgrade the computer.

Look for an ISP type display that is 100% sRGB or better. As for brands, read the reviews. I personally like Dell but there are other brands out there that are just as good and even better (but more expensive.)

You'll want an IPS panel for what you're looking for. Dell Ultrasharps are pretty much the best you can get for high accuracy monitors.
