I've not seen an official Japan thread in this Travel forum so I thought to start one following our recent trip there.

Hello - this was our second trip back. We flew into Kansai Airport then covered Kyoto, Himeji and Nara in the first few days before jetting off to Ishigaki Islands which I highly recommend. We then returned back to the mainland and went to Okayama, Naoshima and Osaka. The whole trip lasted just under a fortnight and the cherry blossom was amazing! Yeah - it was our first time to experience the cherry blossom and now we know why Japanese go crazy every year. The beach shot was on Hateruma Island which is the most southern most island in Japan.
