She shot next to me at one of the games and knocked off some nice shots that I even sent over to the office. I am very proud of her. She just went through a film photography class in high school and even tried to do manual focusing. Probably not very useful during a game, but she tried it as that is what they did for the class. I learned very quickly she has a very different eye than I do. The most telling was a high school football championship where she captured interesting geometric shapes of the venue. She had her share of action shots as well, but she sees stuff that never even crossed my mind. 1Dx Mk II, 5D4 and some L glass (gear list / feedback)

Jan 16, 2018 22:53 | #349 I might have found a new favorite lens for basketball. I was impressed by focus accuracy, and since I was able to shoot at f/1.4 I was able to lower my ISO quite a bit. The focal length works great for me also. I don't find myself cropping near as much, and I never felt like I was shooting too tight. Salesmen are not always photographers, and probably depending on the store you go to, they are never photographers, just people holding down a retail job and want to sell whatever they glean the largest commission on. Soon after, I got a great deal on a 5DIV and jumped on it, so the 6DII is just waiting for me to sell it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63710159@N07/
