I was too close. The bird jumped out of my frame. I couldn't follow it fast enough. I was very disappointed. I was 20 to 25 yards away.

Fantastic captures

We've all been there when you know what is going to happen and even when to an extent and we still manage to miss the shot lol ...

It just drives me to try a bit harder next time!!

I once had a very similar situation with a Great Blue Heron. I knew he was going to take off but he tried to screw me up.
