Agreed it looks suspicious, the german and the american reflecting closer to the UV spectrum, but I think I read on the intrenet that it has to do with the average skin tone of each regional market. I jest, I jest, I jest...

I imagine there are only a few people who could replicate your test and confirm. How about calling direct?

This has come up in the past, but the final determination was that there are different filters made by Schneider and others for the European market vs elsewhere. Also, in thousands upon thousands of sales in the last 12 months on ebay, not a single complaint about a fake or counterfeit lens in either the 15 negative or 15 neutral feedbacks.

If the filter manufacturers indeed make a different set of filters to make them more affordable in the EU but not to be sold elsewhere, then HKDirect is most likely selling those to other markets.

The best thing is to submit your pictures to the manufacturer to see what their input is. If they are making different filters for different markets but marketed under the same product model names/numbers, they will be a bit vague about counterfeit products or not, because they may not want their manufacturing practices to go out.
