FS: Nikon 70-200 f/2.8g VR v1 - VG condition

Previous regular of this forum, stopped posting much on account of moving to Nikon.

Selling my Nikon 70-200 f/2.8G VR v1 model, Canadian serial number, verified when sent in to Nikon USA last year for AF system repair (cost me over $600, half the price I'm selling for). NOT GREY MARKET 100% GUARANTEED, Nikon USA WILL service this lens! AF system brand new, should work well for a long time to come. Lens is in very good cosmetic condition, 100% perfect function. Glass appears generally clean but may have a few coating marks and/or specks of stuff I don't want to damage the lens trying to clean myself. May have a small amount of dust inside that does not affect image quality in any way that I have noticed.

Includes original hood, caps, and tripod collar. Does not include box or paperwork (but can include copy of invoice showing repair). Second owner, purchased from individual in Canada last year.

Lens is a very good performer, sharp wide open in the center with moderate IQ deterioration to the edges on full-frame.

Asking $1200, local sales strongly preferred (Las Vegas, NV) but will ship extremely carefully if you pay shipping costs (will split paypal fees).

Selling because it does not get along with my Nikon D750s (camera shutter jars a lot and seems to dislike older VR lenses), because I'm a bokeh snob (OOF transition areas are jittery/nervous to my eyes), and because it's getting replaced with the v2 model that supposedly focuses a little faster and has better corner performance (and less vignetting) on full frame.

If you use this lens and in-focus area looks like camera shake blur, then ADJUST YOUR AF FINE TUNE because it's probably back-focusing a little. Once you adjust your AF fine tuning the target area will look quite sharp.
