I realized I hadn't shared this beauty yet -- where has the time gone? She was recently in a car accident that could have, easily, killed her (she is going to be OK) and that really hits home the value of capturing these memories for a life-time and beyond. She was one of the few girl Seniors I had this past season, so a lot of fun. She was pretty adventurous and had a very distinctive sense of style. She's a bit reserved, however, so I was happy to help her relax and capture some spirited shots.

Some of our favorites . . .

1.)

7.) A little bit of small-town "urban" here.

8.) Yes, she's a dancer. Her grandmother owns a studio and she's been a part of it (along with her mother and sisters) since she was a baby.

I like your work, Kristen....and these are no exception. Very nice.

The tree hugging one......mmm......that one not so much, but that's just me.

I like the tree hugging one.

For me #2 looks over posed for a girl who isn't a natural and the center frame doesn't help it. If you have #7 with a slightly different expression I would like to see it.

Overall, very well done.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Thanks! That was all her, but I understand why people might not cotton to it. ;)

Thanks, wallstreetoneil. I think this is where her dance background came in. ;} I will have to see about #7.

Yes, it's challenging to use, but worth it when it hits target. :)

wanted to also say, I like the lens and aperture choices of each picture

in picture #3, do you have the lens profile turned ON? - there seems to be quit a bit of green fringing in the high contrast background white bokeh (not that normal people would see this) - but you might be able to remove some of it, even if it is, by using the additional Lens Correction Color controls

As always, very nice work, Kristen! Stunning young woman. I do hope she'll recover fine from the accident.

Thanks, wallstreetoneil. I didn't notice that! I'll see if I can remove that.

Thank you! She has been in a neck brace, but I think she will fully recover. Maybe not dance too much for awhile, though.

1,5,6,8 are very good. But 8, that one, excellent composition, and there she appears the most comfortable. Perfect.

Thanks so much, Sam -- she probably was the most comfortable there as she has been a dancer all her life. It wasn't MY comfort-zone, though -- indoors, flash, and studio with mirrors and clutter all around. ;)

Number 8 is my favorite. Just that your sig (watermark) is distracting where it is.
