I just got a new 5d mkiii. I have an optech that I am going to keep on my backup 50D. I want a strap that is similar. I like the design of the black rapid sport strap.... But don't like the price! lol. I see that OP-tech has a similar strap for a lot less, but does not have the under arm support strap. I like that it sticks over the shoulder cross body and slides up and down.

I will be shooting wedding and like a strap that is easy to use and quick. May or may not carry both cameras at the same time, but don't need a double strap.

I have also seen in some videos, but don't know the brand. Looks like a hips belt with a ball or something that hooks up camera and is a quick connect on the belt. Clips in and out.

What straps do you all use?

I use a Peak Slide on my 7D MKII and an OP Tech Pro on my 1D MKII. Both have great features. The Peak is very quick to adjust the length on and quite comfortable but as much as I like it, I feel that the OP Tech Pro is more comfortable and by using their Extensions, can be worn as a sling or as a neck strap. I'll be changing to a Pro strap on the 7D this weekend. I like the Peak Design but the OP Tech feels and works better for me. Both are set up as two point mounts. I tried a single point but did not feel comfortable with it on a body and 150-600 Sigma zoom. Seemed to me there was a lot of weight dangling off a one point mount. Strictly a personal preference.

I use a carryspeed slim and find it comfortablehttp://www.carryspeed.com (external link) I like the folding mounting plate it flips up and lets the camera sit flat. I haven't had any issues with it and I've been using it for about a year. I use it with my 7D MK II 100-400mmL IS II. I think they make a sport version.

I use a luma cinch. I have their older versions of the loop, but prefer the cinch.

I use my Luma Cinch 1 all the time with one of those little RRS clamps with strap bosses. I do have the latest Loop, but it doesn't have a pull strap like the Cinch 1.

I usually have a 1D IV and a 100-400ii attached....... so not the heaviest but heavy enough and the Cinch 1 is comfortable for extended periods of time.

Same here regarding the RRS clamp. I have versions 1 and 2 of both loop and cinch. Sometimes I don't like the pull tab on version 1.

LOL.... different strokes. ;)

The Loop 3 has the same composite sliders as your Cinch 2. It's sort of a combination of the first Loops and the Cinch 2. I like the way it feels on my shoulder better than the Cinch 1 but not the way it tightens and loosens.

I have the Peak Design Slide and the Luma Cinch 1. If you will not be needing the advantages of the Slide for changing attachment points (I keep one end on the camera and the other either on the L-bracket or lens, depending on the lens I have mounted) or cameras, the Cinch 2 will work fine. If you do like the flexibility of the Peak Design attachment method, the Slide is better. The Slide also is wider for a greater part of the strap, which helps prevent getting twists in the strap. I have used the Optec, Canon, and other straps and the Slide and Cinch are my favorites.

I started with the Optec slide version and while OK I was never a huge fan of it. Other than just being cheaper than a BR. Finally had enough and bought a BR RS-4 and really liked it other than the way that the camera bounced on my side, which it does non stop. After it pulled the tripod mount of of my third party grip (letting my camera drop in the grass) I added Optec utility loops to it so it could connect to two spots on the camera. I then tried out a friend's Peak Design slide. So impressed I ordered one the next day. Very comfortable with a gripped 70D/70-200f4 even after hours of use.
I don't know about shooting weddings (I am just a hobbyist who shoots rescue animals) but the camera bouncing at the end of the strap drove me nuts in no time. With the peak design slide the camera lays very still on your side and when you move it to your back it doesn't move at all as you walk.

It's not perfect but there is no way I would go to back to the black rapid.

That's a good point that I forgot to mention. For most regular walking (not so much for climbing, etc.), both the Slide and the Cinch can keep the camera close to your body (even with a lens such as a 100-400 or 150-600 if one end is attached to the foot of the lens). You usually can position the camera to ride at or near the small of your back to limit slippage. For more extreme cases, I suppose a bungee cord around the waist and attached to the strap would be of some help. Here in flat northwest Ohio, it is not a problem.
