I recently came across this image of a sort of Godox roadmap, or rather points of connectivity between a few Godox triggers, receivers, and strobes/flashes. It's interesting to look at. :-)

What caught my eye in the lower right-hand corder is what they call the XT32. This is my first time hearing about such a device. It would seem the XT32 may actually be the replacement for the alleged XT16, which doesn't show up at all on this roadmap. The XT32 is a 2.4 GHz manual-only trigger (no TTL), while giving you access to HSS, making it a true updated modern version of the old FT16 for those who want a single-pin manual-only trigger that would work with a camera of ANY brand as long as it has a standard hot shoe.

So if the XT32 is really in production, Godox would have the X1 and the XT32 which both combine trigger and HSS firing solutions into one unit, making the XT32 superior to what would have been the XT16. Maybe Godox decided to go ahead and scrap the XT16 altogether; few have seen or ordered it.

But there ARE a couple questions: For example, why in this image is the XT32 labeled as "XT32C", as if it's specifically for Canon? Maybe this is a simple labeling error on early production? Is it truly a single-pin device? People want to know! :-)

It looks like maybe Godox has canned the XT-16 in favor of the XT32 which would have more options available to those wanting to go Manual only. Now we just need a picture of the X1-Pro series Speedlite and Transmitter and this family photo would be worthy to hang on the wall. :-)

If it's really HSS-capable I think it would need a TTL foot for full communication with camera. Just like Cells II is manual as well as camera-specific.

Any trigger that supports HSS has to communicate with the camera to implement FP sync. That requires control pins on the hot foot to establish the communications link with the pads on the camera hot shoe. That means the XT32 will have to be camera system specific.

Given the function buttons and LCD screen it appears that it may offer features that benefit from camera/trigger communication beyond just the FP-sync signaling.

Don't you need a Canon compatible "foot" on this trigger in order to receive the "HSS" signal from the camera?

David (and Sam French as well), THANK YOU for reminding me about that. I too often manage to forget about that detail regarding the foot because I don't use HSS all that often.

It would appear from the following link that Adorama is selling / pre-selling the R2 (Adorama's X1 rebadge) in even more camera specific versions than shown on the Godox "road map".

In addition to Canon, Nikon and Sony, Adorama list Pentax, Four Thirds and Fuji.

Wow,
I had to rethink forward investment on my Quantum system,
I planned to get another Trio and T5D-R

This is great news as I found out that Quantum CoPilot R123 batteries are power hungry,
it drains even a rechargeable R123 size Lithium VERY FAST

EOS 70D x 2 units + EOS 7D mark II x3 units
Newton FR3, Newton modified bracket, EF 17-40mm x4,EF 24-70mm f/2.8 x2, EF 70-200mm f/2.8 x2
Quantum Trio x2, T5D-R x1 + FW7Q x1, CoPilot x2, Godox AD-180 x5
Propac PB960 head x12, PB960 battery x10
sorry, no stupid speedlite from Canon !

That may simply be Adorama jumping the gun on things. There hasn't been any info out about Godox supporting Pentax, Fuji, or Panasonic specifically. Not to say it won't happen....

I saw that as well.
In the product description for Fuji they suggest TTL.
That would be a big deal if they added TTL for Fuji.
The Pentax inclusion brings in at least one MF digital.

The XT32 seems to be the logical place for the Mask/Sequence capability as well.

Many thanks and was already wondering why could not find the XT16 2.4GHz. I have already received my XTR16 and was looking for the X1 but was still not happy enough to order them. I can't see if it is the V2 I am ordering and on the site of my dealer I saw a review mentioning the not fitting locking pin so they have V1 version.

So now I have to be patient for the container that maybe the XT32 ships arrive in Europe.

See they heard you :-)

When I see the X1 Pro equivalent Speedlite and Transmitter, that are not rehashes of their TT and V series flashes, then I will believe. :-) That XT32 looks a lot nicer than the XT16 but I just wonder how many Groups? And, I wonder if they resolved some of the issues such as isolating Groups for metering, that were part of discussions going way back to the introduction of the FT16? We'll see how well they listened. It sure looks pretty!
