Also nice is to see the graphical representation of the dip switches so you can translate that easily to the XTR/S.

I definitely will skip the X1 trigger which looks argaric to me and clumsy to operate.

I'm hoping their listing of available cameras for the R2 is accurate. Pentax! Been waiting for another HSS vendor besides Priolite for my 645Z. Wow, fingers crossed!

Hahahah! I was wondering if someone would comment on that. It both cracked me up with laughter to see those and yet also felt comforting somehow. :-)

There are a few products not included on their roadmap, of course. The TT600 and the AD180 are a couple of examples.

Straight from Godox there is no production of the pentax / fuji X1 at this time or even plans for them this year. You can use the X1n/c in single pin to use them as a basic trigger with no HSS or TTL function.

Anyone interested in the Pentax, Fuji or Four Thirds versions may want to place their Adorama "pre-order" now so as to register interest in the product and encourage Adorama to push for it.

With the XT32, Godox is moving toward a more contemporary commander-style transmitter. The same thing has been done in recent months by Phottix (Odin II), as well as by Elinchrom and others.

It's an efficient design, giving the manufacturer lots more real estate for buttons and button-based functions, as well as gives the photographer a more visible display and more intuitive user interface. This approach does a few other things: You're not as likely to damage it (the way some users broke or bent the antenna of the old FT16 with its high antenna), but it's also not wide and obtrusive like the X1(the wide X1 can hide the top LCD screen on some cameras or otherwise interfere with some of the camera interface).

So if Godox goes with this design for future transmitters, it will be a good thing for them and for photographers. If you need a flash on-camera, there's always the V860 II as master rather than mounting a flash on top of the X1.

I hope it has a feature to fire just the current displayed group. This is useful if we want to meter or test individual group.

If the TX32 is articulated and can be put flat then it would even a better and more flexible for me. Now it is angled to the front and it is still reasonable tall.

I can't imagine it being taller than the old FT16. I haven't gotten my hands on the new Odin II, but that general form factor seems to be the way all the big manufacturers are going.

Over the years I've used the Buff Cyber Commander, Canon STE3 RT, YN-622, Pixel King, and Nissin Air Commander as-well-as speedlites that control remotes; 600EX-RT and just recently the Godox TT685s.

Buff got it right with the articulating hot foot. What was even better about the Cyber Commander, was being able to carry it around to control the lights and use just a trigger in the hot shoe on the camera.

Using speedlites in the hotshoe for fill and also to control a lighting scheme is useful on location.

The reality is, I've used whatever was provided by the lighting system and didn't really think about it. :-D

Nobody makes a perfect wireless setup. Especially since everyones needs are different.

I know there are a lot of alien bees fans, but the cybersync transmitter is the worst one I've ever used. They keep falling apart. I've not used the commander so can't speak on that one.

Yongnuo makes the wireless I like using but their flashes are crap. Godox is making good flashes but I don't like their wireless.

I like the Yongnuo St-E3-Rt transmitter the best so far. Mostly because it has an interface like Canon's and I can still use with any studio flash. If Godox made a controller like that I would be dumping everything else.
