Nice Video Scott..:)

just a question, when changing the Power setting via the scroll wheel, does the centre select button need to be pressed to confirm...?

no it will set like the older FT-16 and the XT-16

Is it easy to operate it with one hand?
I usually hold lightmeter on my left hand and FT16 on my right hand to adjust the power :)
That is one of the reason I likr FT16.

it about the same and the older FT-16 and the New Xt-16

Nikon and Sony should be finished in a few weeks for production.

will the XT32 work with the Nikon D500 for HSS the X1-N dose not.?

I have a couple of colleagues with the D500 who confirm that the X1TN does work with it at HSS speeds.

Received today my XT32c and I will try is later. Looks good and the setting dail is a bit light to rotate for my feeling.

I had a bit of a struggle with till I noticed that I arrived in the locked setting and no change could be made in the setting. Unlocked it by pressing long the "mod" button.

Congrats. Enjoy it! I'm still waiting for CheetahStand to get the Nikon version of the XT32. I'll be all over it at that time.

Note that with firmware v17 the XT32 can turn off a selected group with a double-tap of the SET button. This is a new feature.

Thanks and the double-press works well and switches off the group and on again on a double-press.

When I press the MOD button while switching on I can see the firmware version.
When switching on while pressing the BUZZ button let you check if all the LCD elements are working.

I suggested to Godox that they could make the current flash group test fire only if you press the Group button before the test fire button.

Or another option was to double-press the test fire button (though I think that would be unlikely).

Would you have 2 slave / receiver units to see if they have possibly implemented the single group test fire?

I have only one flash which was set to group A. I switched to group B on the trigger and pressed once GR and then the test button and the flash fired. To me it seems that this option of only firing the current group is not yet implement.

Ok, thanks for doing the test.

That's a good idea for metering only the Group you have selected. You could very quickly go through metering and adjusting each Group independently without having to turn any Groups "OFF".

For quickly metering more than one Group at a time, the way the XT32 now allows for turning a Group "OFF" then back "ON" to it's previous flash power, by double pressing the "SET" button, is also a nice feature. You can quickly go through and turn "OFF" those Groups you do not want to include in a metering test and then just as quickly go back and turn them "ON", with their previous flash power preserved, after you have metered and adjusted one or more Groups.

EDIT: The more I think about your idea, I change my opinion to it is a great idea. Combining these two features would make setup a breeze. There is really no reason to save "Sets" of Groups like the Cyber Commander saves "Groups" of Channels (PCB terminology not mine). Once you've gone through and set the flash power for each Group, using your idea, then you could combine the main and fill Groups, using the "double press set button" feature, to get your main flash exposure. Godox is half way there to fulfilling most peoples desires to quickly meter each Group independently or metering "sets" of Groups.

That's true, though its still a pain if you do actually use 5 to 10 groups (cough "Nixland") and have to turn them all off and back on individually just so that you can test fire one group.

Its not worth arguing the point with Godox at them moment though. I'm working on the X2 design suggestion at the moment, and am strongly suggesting multiple groups can easily be selected then, switched on and off, or power level adjusted together.

So you can test fire one group, or as many as you have select quickly on the one LCD screen just by tapping their group button to select them. The same with global power control, adjust which ever groups you like together.

Also suggesting an ALL button, which will select (or switch on) all groups at once, or non, or the groups you previously had switched on or selected. Just as another option to speed up group selection etc.
