Canon 7D Mark II

Up for sale is my Canon 7D Mark II. This is a great camera and is considered by many to be the most feature-laden camera for the price! I am selling it to raise funds for the upcoming Canon 1D X Mark II.

I am the original owner and purchased this USA model new. This low-mileage camera only has 11,469 shutter activations and has only been used to record 1 min and 12 seconds of video. (I’m a stills-only sort of guy.) To further clarify how little it has been handled, it has only been used on 14 different occasions to photograph birds in my local neighborhood.

This camera body has been very well taken care of! It comes from a non-smoking pet-free home. It has never been dropped or dinged and has always been stored in a climate-controlled case. This camera body comes with all of the original accessories. The Canon camera strap is brand new and has never been used. Everything will be wrapped up in the original packaging as if it were new.

Damn Bryan, I was trying to be happy with my original 7ds until the mk3 comes out... you're making that very difficult!

LOL...thanks for the well wishes! By no means am I trying to talk you into buying my 7D Mark II, but I like to talk shop and I thought I would let you know that I do not anticipate a Canon 7D Mark III until at least the fall of 2017, if not further out. Of course, this prediction is just speculation on my part, but Canon has not updated their bodies any earlier than 3 years for their prosumer models and in some cases, it has been closer to 4 years.

Your 7D classic is still a very capable camera. In my opinion, an upgrade can be warranted once you are truly held back by the technical limitations of your existing equipment...or you just desire to have faster and better gear. But in many, many cases, the 7D classic still does a very good job at getting the job done. If I can answer any questions for you about what the 7D Mark II offers, please do not hesitate to ask in a PM and I'll be more than happy to share my observations/experienc​es without pushing for a sale. The most important thing is helping my fellow POTN members choose gear that is right for them and best fits their own needs.

LOL...I know what you mean. The desire for better and faster has tugged at me too. My problem is, I usually give in.
