I was is in San Diego for my first born daughter's wedding. we went for a walk to look at some seals and these guys were nesting on the cliffs. they are much more interesting than the ones back home

Love the captured coloring of the eyes and under the beak on that 2nd shot. I've never seen this type of cormorant before -- much different than those on the east coast.

I would have passed them up thinking they were just cormorants but upon closer inspection they were beautiful

Yes Ian, colors are unbelievable. I almost passed them up since I thought they were just cormorants. The wedding was really great- they had a new drinking game- take a drink when you see me cry. It was the best week ever. Thanks for asking
