Heya,

The SL1 has limited features to give it it's size. It's otherwise a similar sensor, so image quality is the same. But the feature limitations are there.

The T4i has everything the SL1 has, and more, at a slightly larger size. Lots more features. Can be gripped.

50D has both of them beat in my opinion for what you do--wildlife. MFA is crucial to have in my opinion. Its AF is more aggressive to me which is important. And it's simply built better.

If you were going to keep the 50D and a single Rebel, I'd keep the T4i. You have two SL1's after all. Realistically I'd sell them all and just use the 50D and use the recouped money to pay off current gear, or to put towards a lens.

Very best,

Depends on what you want it for. If you want the smallest body you can mount an EF or EF-S lens on, then stick with the SL1. If you want all the advantages of larger more "pro/prosumer bodies" then stick with a larger bodies. Those typical advantages are higher FPS, better AF, MFA, larger buffers, (typically) higher pixel density, etc.

1. The sl1 can be gripped as well. Not sure why you would tho...
2. The sl1 is quite smaller, specs don't give it justice.
3. I know of no lost features on the sl1 vs the other rebels of the same generation. The t4i offers a tilt screen and more capable AF system.

The sl1, considering it's age, is still a camera that even those with the prosumer or pro bodies still carry in their bags. If you have an sl1, then the t4i is obviously the choice at this time. :)
