My first White Faced Ibis

Found this Ibis after work yesterday at the local NWR. I've spent a lot of time there but this is the first Ibis I've seen there. One of about 4 in the area that I saw.

Good for you, Dave. I hope to see them in Manitoba in a few weeks. They don't seem like prairie birds, do they.

Thanks Al, Ian and Peter! I was really surprised to see them, I spent many hours there last year and never saw any, maybe their just on their way through but I hope they stay, beautiful birds. We have many birds here that people would be surprised to find in praire/farm country.
