Just back from Africa with the 1Dx MkII. The standing joke when folks see a good photo from me has been 'you must have a good camera'. In the past, I could argue it was my skill, but with the 1Dx MkII, it really was the camera that made the shots special. Before I get smart comments, yes, I did shoot large animals also, but these are two examples where the focus and speed of focus saved my butt. (spoonbill and spur wing goose).
