I can lay to rest any argument and confirm that touch is only enabled in live view for photos, but you can't trigger the shutter with it, and in video mode. Nothing else unless they ever decide to do a firmware update to it.

I posted over on a group on Facebook and I've been having to ask people to play nice and not insult others' professions/choice of use of the camera. It's just a camera people! A great one, but hey, nothing to fight over in any other way than good spirited fun, right? I think so, and I appreciate all of you because, to the best of my recollection, in this thread and the pre-release thread, no one ever got nasty. Sure, there were disagreements to be had, but everyone was civil and that is awesome. So again, thanks everyone for being level headed and pretty darn wonderful all around.
