jwcdds Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 18, 2016 10:03 | #3117 My apologies on the processing. It was raining. Visibility was not great. I was surprised the show carried on. At the speeds these guys travel at, even on clear days they're considered dangerous. This was outright insane. Julian

The AF is superior to anything in canons line up. The camera just does not miss. From coming off a set of 5D3 for 3 yrs of weddings to this body was effortless and felt like the next logical step. I did zero micro adjust to any of my lens. Everything hits and its in 100% focus I shoot just about anything that moves in Servo. Fast, amazingly accurate. Low light ability to lock and track is the best I have used in canons line up Color on files is amazingly accurate 20 MP files are about as perfect as I can get for my needs. I really dont want nor need larger files for weddings Will a 5D3 and a 5D4 work and get the job done ??.....Have not used a 5D4 yet but after 3 yrs on the 5D3......the short answer is absolutly YES. I still use a 5D3 Camera as a 2nd body. But I will say after 15-16 weddings on this camera......far fewer misses, zero abilities to get it to lock in poor light, night photography has never been easier and the noise performance is superb & excellent. A Big noticeable step up from the 5D3 ....So in my opinion YES its worth the upgrade for wedding photographers. It exceeds the 5D3 anyplace I can test it against and I am going to assume it would do the same against a 5D4.... This is a camera I can use for 6-7 yrs. .....There is nothing in a wedding enviorment that this camera cannot slay and make your jib a lot easier. I absolutly Cant say that about the 5D3...... And I feel like most of my version 1 lens got a new lease on life. The files just look great sharp clean and virtually no noise and no micro adjust on any of my glass except the 50L I would strongly encourage an active and busy wedding photography business to consider this camera.......But will say.....after the 2017 season...I will be getting the 5D4 as a 2nd camera . So there you have it. Im just your average Joe Schmoe working wedding photographer. This camera kicks butt Big Time. Here are some shots from Saturdays wedding Love it Mike! Thanks for sharing your working experiences with the 1DX2 so far. It certainly is a fine machine.
