I've been through what you're experiencing right now and I know first-hand how hard it can be. Hang in there! Bryan Thanks. We heard they let two people who are permanent residents back so it might be OK. No confirmation. We'll know more later. There are fires all over the province and Canada. Not enough snow and too dry this year. Image Editing OK

OOOOrrr... you can hope that most of the tech/features of the 1DX2 will be on the 5D4 and get rid of the 5D3 then and make room for the 4. I guess that's my issue. I lead wildlife safaris to Africa and bird workshops in FL, so the 7d2 reach could be handy at times; however, the 5D3 is great for landscapes low light and night sky. Buddy4344

I would keep the 7D2, given what you said above, no questions asked. I don't do nightsky photography, but am I not correct that the 7D2 is better at long exposure night photography than the 5D3? That only leaves you landscapes, and anyway you look at that, a high megapixel Sony will beat any current Canon. Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Everyone's needs are different, but if I were in your shoes, I would absolutely sale the 5D3. Unless weight is a critical concern, the 1DX2 can do everything better than the 5D3. Low light? The 1DX2 is superior. Action shots? The 1DX2 is superior. IQ? The 1DX2 is superior.

Actually, for night work, the full frame at wide angle of the 5D3 is a bit better and noise is definitely lower on the low light long exposures with the 5D3. The extra 'reach' when need and the better tracking of movements are the strenths of the 7D2 to me. Buddy4344

I have gotten so used to that program and it converts a lot faster than DPP4, at least on my old computer. Just thought I would see if anyone else still used it and might know. http://photos.atlantafalconscheerleaders.com
