Thank you for the kind words. I did not have the 1D X. I went to the 1DX2 from a 7D2. Definitely an awesome jump! I also have a 5D4. Whenever I do wildlife (even if it's chainsaw woodcarvers), the 1DX2 is my tool of choice. The 5D4 would do a fine job, but the 1DX2 is just so sweet...

FYI - I'm really impressed with the work of Tin Man Lee. He posted a review in the "Camera Reviews" section where he feels the 1DX2 is a very worthy upgrade to the 1DX. That review is here:

Thank you for your thoughts and the link. I have a couple irons in the fire that might allow me to get the 1D X Mark ll more quickly. In the mean time, I'll continue to save $50 a week.
