Mixture of the 70-200 2.8 mk2 with the 1.4 extender and the 200-400.

One of the few circuits in the country where the only advantage of media accreditation is a lower PoV on certain parts of the circuit as there is NO going between the armco and fencing like everywhere else. So quite a challenge to line the lens up with the centre of the chain link gap.

Normally it's not that visible BUT as soon as you start with the slow speed panning stuff they stick out like a sore thumb. Will see what CPS come back with.

.DAVID.

I had pretty bad oil spots on my sensor after the first couple of airshows that I did. It's much better now, but the spots still happen. At f/8, very few are visible; at f/20 many more spots can be seen. To help alleviate that, I use a 3-stop ND filter if the f/stop is getting too high.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

Any ideas please. I've just downloaded holiday photos from a number of cards. I set up so that it downloads to the holiday destination with the dates the pictures are taken as the sub file. Here's the problem two cards, one a Sandisk 64gb cfast card and the other a Lexar 32gb 1066 card with pictures taken on the same date but at different times both had the same file sequential file numbers. The only difference being that one card put a '_1' to the file so for example I've got one file taken on one card as C15I9515_1.CR2 and the next file taken with the other card as C15I9515.CR2. The two files, as was the case for all the pictures, were taken some hours apart so they are completely out of time sequence in the downloaded sub file. Don't understand how this can happen. Need a 1DXII experts help.

Love that first shot. Very unusual angle.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Im on my third replacement camera body now and even that went in for repair as it packed up after only 900 images and a week of ownership.

This time they have replaced Main PCB and Power circuit board and touch wood it is still working ok now several thousand shots later.

That's it - I have officially gone off you. . . . . I think I saw a KF once, flew up the river but then it could have been a bit of dust in my eye! I have sat for hours where 'they' are supposed to be and nothing, near the top of my list of nemesis lol

Both really nice shots, Bravo!!!

I usually use my 5DIV when I do portrait sessions, since there is more resolution. But I love the images from the 1DXII so much, I am seriously thinking about selling the 5DIV.

Don't do it! They are seriously compatible bodies. If you own both, nothing is out of reach photographically. They offset each other's strengths and weaknesses perfectly..
