What a beautiful shot Annie, well done. Recently we've had a bad dust storm, now it has started to rain and its raining mud!!! Crazy.

Well, I cleaned my 1DX2 sensor yesterday to try to remove all the oil spots before the shinty and wedding seasons start again. I was so nervous my hand was shaking - not a good thing! I don't have any issues with doing the 5D4 (and 3 before it) but this was much dirtier and more expensive. However, I think I did a good job but if I get more oil spots I'll send it to CPS the next time. I've read that the spots should diminish now that the camera has been through a sports season.

My sensor seem to have settled down now in terms of oil spots too after just over a year... first clean was needed (severely) after about 4 months, next one will be at CPS next week.

Not game to do myself ... yet!

I would personally like to see Canon deliver at least 1 more flagship DSLR (1DX MIII). But I think there will also be room for a mark IV, quite honestly. The EF lenses are just so dominant in the market. Another decade to DSLR systems for me, please!

I think we may be overestimating the rate at which the EOS R system will saturate, even though we know it will be inevitable.

Wonderful shots. I particularly like the pose of the first one, and the sharpness of the second one.

Thanks ,
The 1DXii and the DO are pure magic together. Its hard to take a bad pic with this combination.

Nah, they can give up after the 1DX Mark II. Thus I don't "have to" spend more money on cameras...

I agree. As much as I enjoy my 1DxMKII, I would like to see one more iteration of this DSLR. A little more MP and upgrade to the new processors will really make the AF even better in low light.

man I have to disagree on the bigger MP sensor

5D4 is 30 and the files are notably slower to work with in LR....Much slower...and I have the newest I mac and its a loaded machine

The files size now on the 1Dx2 are perfect for post
