rejay14 Goldmember ![]() More info | Jul 05, 2019 22:02 | #5064 I have both a 1DXII and 5DIV. I use the 5D a lot at weddings (ceremony) because of the superb silent mode. I can creep around the church and no one pays me any attention. My question is this: I don't find a whole lot of difference between the two bodies, regardless of photo-situations. Does anyone else see a difference? My photos are "croppable" with both bodies. 1DX Mark II, 5D Mark IV, 40D,Rebel XT

I tend to agree with you, rejay. I've only had my 1DXii for a few weeks, and honestly, I don't see much difference between it, and my 5DIV, other than the high frames/sec rate of the 1DXii (I do like this feature). LD, or Mike

I've had both since Sept, 2016. I slightly prefer the 1DX2 images. The difference is very subtle, but after processing thousands of images from each camera, I tend to like the 1DX2 images better. Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

(2 edits in all) | Jul 06, 2019 16:33 | #5068 Lame-Duck wrote in post #18888828 ![]() I switch back and forth between my 3 custom shooting modes quite often when going from BIF to static shots. For me it's much quicker to do with the 5DIV than the 1DXii. It's possible to do with a single key press on the 1DX Mark II. You do it easily with your eye still at the eyepiece and no change of grip of the camera. I doubt the 5D Mark IV will support it that fast. Anders
