If its any help, I've been using the 1dx and 1dx mkii for a number of years now. Only ever use Case 2 and 4 for sports with single AF point or group of 4 if necessary. AF tracking is generally very consistent even in flat light which is basically all the time here during winter months. Most of my media colleagues use the same Case settings and rarely need to change them.

Time to get that sensor cleaned.

You're also clearly editing these images, take a little time and remove the dust bunnies. It ruins a potentially great shot.

I took a look at the most recent images, mine and other's, but didn't see many obvious dust spots. Which picture(s) are you referring to?
