Looks good so far :)

I will be curious to hear how you compare it to the 5D4 in IQ, and more importantly performance/af etc.

Jake

Autofocus is much faster and accurate on the 1DX II , especially with the 600 F4 ,and the use of teleconverters.
Auto white balance is better, and the low light focus precision is topnotch.
Im using the 5D IV mainly for my damselfly and dragonfly pictures. Autofocus speed is there not a must have, and more pixels on the subject is where really those 30MP sensor shines for me.
Sometimes I use the 5DIV for birds especial when the distance is far, and the 30MP allows me more to crop the picture.

So I was out at Higgins point at Lake CDA in Idaho today at 1PM and I was hiding below the pine tree west of the dock area. I was treated to 2 that landed on the branches about 20-25 ft from me....the 2nd eagle........wow...... People were actually taking video with cell phones, he sat there for 10 minutes eating and we were all less than 20 Ft away

shot with Sigma 150-500....framed these two...great day

This is an excellent series of bald eagle photos eating a salmon, Mike! Your images are all sharp and nicely composed.

Had a nice time today.....The only problem I have with this 1Dx2 is that it rarely misses.....too much culling as a result
