I will see if I can replicate the corruption and isolate it to the bundled Sandisk card or card reader. For the people that are currently having this problem, can you provide more details about your work flow. Sounds like in the 2nd case, the file was opened from a hot card.

jwcdds Cream of the Crop More info | May 19, 2016 18:34 | #836 dzaneh wrote in post #18012489 I got the cxamera/CFast card & card reader deal...I used the card reader & opened in Lightroom... then tried downloading straight from camera into Lightroom...same thing on same two photos... tried using Canon DPP to open pics straight from camera but I'm not familiar with DPP & didn't know how to view photos... if I'm not to tired tonight (after working 12 hr today) I was thinking about shooting a music venue tonight & see if it happens again... called Canon the other night & lady asked if previewing photos in camera if they looked like that & I told her they looked fine on camera... I'll see how it goes... It is my understanding that camera preview is actually a smaller thumbnail jpg that may have saved fine. But doesn't really view the actual image file (at least not the RAW). So it wouldn't help your cause. Those 2 files, unfortunately, did not write well on the card. Julian

I'm fairly certain there may be some bad sectors on the memory card itself that's causing some of the images to have problems. Hopefully you won't have much of an issue getting a replacement card. yeah but who do you go to to get a replacement? stuff

I called Adorama...they acted like they wanted nothing to do with the whole problem & couldn't give me the number for Canon fast enough... Canon wanted me to try this, try that ...I finally did everything but got tired of calling them after the 3rd time... I'm "sure" it's probably the card & I could just buy another but "someone" should offer to send me a new one I think... If you pay for shipping, I can send you mine. Julian
