Same! I just posted in the other thread about it.

Keep in mind I ordered mine five days ago! They really must have gotten in a healthy amount on the first shipment. :-D

Cool! Hopefully stock won't be an issue for anyone. I ordered mine 15 minutes after they announced the camera so it has been quite the wait :)

Ugh, must not look at thread.... haha, I love my 7D2 but would give it up in a heart beat for the 1Dx2, the ISO performance is stupid impressive for 12,500+ which would be excellent for the dark dirt tracks I photograph at. I honestly can't wait to pickup this camera here in the next year or so.

I have to admit, I've been thinking about how to sell stuff and somehow manage this price point.. Never has a 1Ds or 1Dx called to me like this one is!

Wow, dead accurate focus.

What lens and settings were these taken with? I didn't think i would ever spend $2k on a camera, much less $6k, but darn some of the shots posted already are simply amazing. (especially the gator at 12,000ISO)

Those were both with a 300 f2.8 IS L MKII but do now also have some with the 500 f2.8 IS L MKII.

Keep in mind i only really do motorsport photography but have owned every 1 series now since the MKIIN and i think its a significant upgrade on the 1DX. For me and my workflow once i get the hang of it to be able to integrate properly i can see it saving a fair amount of time and also allowing me to get more in the bag in some tricky situations.

A/F seems a lot more responsive and is now either bang on or off rather than sometimes just not being 100%
Locks on and tracks with a significant improvement as believe it or not the 1DX didnt like certain colours!

White balance seems a lot more precise across all images and metering is superb.

Cant comment on RAW's as its just more have to do in the press centre so the majority of my work is jpeg.

Shutter sound is lovely and fairly quiet in all honesty, more of a clunk than loud click now!!!!!

Is it worth the price is the big one and for me yes as i can see it helping loads but i still love my 1DX and will now use that as my second body.

Will try and add a little more later once i get sorted as i now have a fair amount to get done before 10am tomorrow for the editors.

One other thing.

1DX MKII 1576 shots and a fair bit of in camera processing of images while playing and the battery shows 57% remaining

1DX with 994 shots and no review etc or playing around and has 70% remaining

300 f2.8 IS L MKII and cant remember the exif of the top of my head in all honesty but it wasnt at a very high ISO am im sure it was about 1/1000 sec at f2.8 as they are doing over a 100mph by the time they hit that crest.
