Just got a call from CPS HK. Asked me don't bother to find out what is the cause.

- Hold on to your invoice.
- Canon will announce in next week or so for the cause of corrupted file.

That sounds very promising

They told me not to tell anyone:
- Not the body
- Card's issue.

Now the freeze up issue with big white L, they mentioned no idea yet

Canon will know it when Olympics 2016 open
But none of the runner can out run race cars

true. The cyclists will possibly be getting up around 80kph/50mph though

Perhaps it was mentioned a page or so back here or maybe it was somewhere else, but the poster said that the cards needed to be formatted for the first time on a windoze machine. Not sure where they came up with it, but just passing the theory along.

I had the opportunity this weekend to use the Mark II in a venue where I have extensively used the Mark I

My thoughts:

Quicker focus and fewer misses
About 1/2 stop improvement in ISO performance
Metering is different, I always used exposure compensation at +1 on the Mark I, but 0 exposure compensation produces the same result on the Mark II

Sun had already dropped below the ridge, ISO 8000.
