Northern Harrier Hawk

I was curious about the identity of this bird when I first caught a glimpse several weeks ago just a few miles from my home. As luck would have it he seems to cover a lot of territory and we spotted him a couple of fields away from our backyard this evening. Their flight pattern is so distinctive with their strong and steady wing beats and low passes over the grassland. I managed to capture a few images of this graceful and beautiful raptor. . . and look forward to encountering him again in the near future.
