A little read for you all, if you're driving pull over ;)

Makes a lot of sense for what you shoot. Discreet, but still allows you to pursue what you want to do creatively.

I definitely want one of these little guys, but I have too much other gear that I need to buy. :)

Yeah, it's been pretty solid thus far... I do miss the Fujifilm community though, are you shooting Sony as well?

You'll be back ;) LOL.

But seriously, for video use I can not blame you for switching over to Sony. I love the Fuji system (mainly for their lens....such great glass!) but if I needed video Fuji wouldn't be top on my list.

I wonder though, I first came across you when I think it was thephoblogapher posted your "year with Fuji" blog (don't remember exactly what site it was). In there you seemed to really love the Fuji system, going as far as trying to have Fuji pick you up as one of the X-system pros. So why not a dual system? Fuji for still and Sony for video?

So basically you switched because of needing video.

I don't see why you switched though... why not use the Fuji for still sand keep the a6000 (especially considering how cheap it was) for video?

Also, it's so funny how a camera can be underwhelming to some people and amazing to the point where you'd consider switching your workhorse from another system for others (namely, me... I really want that X-Pro2).

I actually shoot stills/video primarily with the 5D3, and just picked up an 80D "for my girlfriend" (hehe). I do a lot of second shooting for people that also live in the Canon DSLR system, so that is a big motivating factor for saying with the 5D3. The 5D3 is a pretty tough camera to replace, because it can handle just about any situation or event reasonably well, and it's pretty cost effective.

If I were going to move to Sony it would probably be in the realm of an A7 series + FS5 combo, but that isn't in the cards right now. ;)

One man's trash is another man's treasure :-)

Basically the theme of the whole changing brands section.

Somewhat off topic. But what did you use to have the amazon links populate with your gear images?

Are you the person that has those POV street photography videos on Youtube? I really enjoyed those.

As far as the switch, congrats! I am all for being brand agnostic these days, considering the absolute wealth of options we have as photographers of all skill levels. I just switched from Canon to Fuji, who knows, maybe like you I'll be Sony in a year. Or back to Canon, or maybe Micro 4/3, haha.

Yes that's me!

I'm with you on being "agnostic" actually writing up an article about how brand loyalty is overrated. Sony is amazing, as well is Fuji, they all get the job done on the streets.
