As title states, I think that is a lot of money for a camera that more than likely will need the shutter replaced very soon. would it be normal to have so many actuations in a year? I think the shutter goes for around 300 euro here in ireland. I think a reduction of those 300 + another 100 for the hassle would be good game. What do you guys think?

It might help the discussion if you could furnish us with a bit of information about your situation with regard to...

  1. how much is a new 5DIII in the country that you are in (prices differ due to tariffs, duties, taxes)
  2. how much does it cost in your country to get a new shutter installed in a 5DIII
  3. for a used 5DIII with 50K shutter actuations, what is the usual price someone pays for this camera
