My girl is getting ready to graduate, so I thought I'd share some of her portraits. I tried to do the full 4-season, but we got almost no snow this winter (VERY odd for New Hampshire) and she's not much of a winter gal, anyway, so that's fine. She loves warm weather, sunshine, pink, arts-and-crafts, her cat, and anything girlie. Of course, I had to highlight her "princess" side, but her personality is anything but. She's my shy, reluctant model and, that being the case, we were quite happy to get these. I am still working on them and will share more later. CC is welcome and ask me anything.

Very nice set, Kristen! She's beautiful. My favorites are 1 and 2 for the compositions and the poses.

Did you use any fill light? When I look at the catchlights, I only see what appears to be sky (and probably you in 3). Yet the light in 1, especially, seems perfect and even, as if you had just a bit of supplemental light. I just don't see anything that would suggest it reflected in her eyes. Did you expose it that way, enhance in post, or both? There's a pro photographer, Dani Diamond, who does almost all of his work with available light, and it works, but yours just seems a bit brighter.

Lovely photos Kristin.
Very sharp detail, lovely colours and backgrounds.
And of course she's a beautiful young woman, very photogenic.

Well done.

Hi Graham and thanks so much! I did not use any other light source for this set -- all natural light. There was open sky in front of her, which does great for fill. These were also earlier in the day, pre-"Golden Hour," so just brighter light.

Thanks so much! That is my favorite, too, but she loves the one with her cat. :)

Thank you! She's a bit hard on herself, but I tell her that she really is photogenic, too. :)

Beautiful daughter and I love your work!

I'd love to see a full length version of the dress.
