The hummingbirds around my feeder tend to come and go, with one holding the territory for a short while, and then another.... This guy stayed around his "flower" the whole day on Sunday and aggressively defended it from all comers - often hiding up in the fir and then diving down on unsuspecting interlopers. He seems pretty human friendly and let me get within about 6 feet of him. Maybe a good opportunity to get more "in-flight" shots down the line.

Thank you - I don't usually do "backlighting" but I too am pretty happy with how it worked out.

Thanks! I thought about cloning out the feeder stand on the left, leaving just the bird. Do you find the stand a bit distracting?
